The Appalling “Path to 9/11″

Click here to get involved and counter-act the latest the spin machine has to offer.

I am appalled that ABC is dramatizing and enhancing the storylines and conversations. They are not portraying fictional characters, they are literally putting words into people that are still alive to use as references. Unlike the West Wing drama series that clearly impersonates various political figures, real names are not used and that helps with the separation between a dramatization and reality.

This rings too much like political propoganda similar to how China reinvents reality into a more acceptable format. I find it repulsive that free speech is being used to twist facts and point fingers. Although Michael Moore delivered personal commentary throughout a “documentary,” he did not misquote anyone AND the government DID get a chance to review and EDIT it’s acurracy. Now don’t get me wrong, I was appalled at Micheal Moore’s ranting while claiming to have produced a “documentary.” It would have been much more effective if he stated the facts without his constant opinions trying to spoon feed his personal conclusions to us.

“The Path to 9/11″ is nothing more than primetime spin machine propoganda. More “post traumatic torture” from the power hungry neocons. Perhaps “The Path to 9/11″ should highlight our civillian responisbilities. How we as civillians continue to sit by and be represented in a global society by those that are only concerned with personal wealth and power. Can you name the last president that truely represented the American idealism of the true majority?

How can we enforce “freedom” on sovereign nations when the “majority” of Americans don’t exercise their rights to free speech, freedom of religion and to vote? “The Path to 9/11″ points the finger at a few key people in the government instead of realizing that 9/11 is a product of every citizens’ ignorance and apathy.

2,996 - Countdown to September 11

2,996

Five years later… and still the memories take my breath away and I often wonder what I can do, what each of us can do, that will make a difference. One thing I vowed that day is that I would never forget. I would never forget how I felt that day. I would never forget how I changed that day. Although I believe there are social and political aspects of 9/11, I am also keenly aware of the many individual lives that were affected on a personal level that day.

2,996 is a tribute to the victims of 9/11.

On September 11, 2006, 2,996 volunteer bloggers
will join together for a tribute to the victims of 9/11.
Each person will pay tribute to a single victim.

We will honor them by remembering their lives,
and not by remembering their murderers.

I am honoring Abdu Malahi.

I have dedicated a permanent page of my site and navigation to this endeavor. You will find a complete list of the victims and links to the blogs honoring them here: http://kristonia-ink.com/Blog/2996

Thank you DC Roe for spending countless hours making this touching idea a reality. I am proud to be a part of this resoundingly unified voice.

Why Quote Kerry? Another Post Traumatic Nightmare

As a favorite fellow blogger, Eric Simonson, points out:

There’s a word for this kind of stuffy arrogance. Haughtiness? Somnolent pretention? Self-assured pomposity? Yes, that’s it. Pompous. That is, in a word, the reason why Kerry lost the election in 2004.

Unfortunately, non-Bush fans have to be represented by an arrogant prig as Kerry. I would much rather have Clinton as an icon to mimic my ideals and represent me in the global socio-economic arena, personal bad choices not withstanding. Even Hillary has to be a better choice of voice than Kerry (cough, sputter, and spit).

The best thing about Kerry was that his wife had some steel basket-balls in her pants when it came to the media. At least she stood up for herself and her personal beliefs. Kerry is like a half-dead press secretary that can barely read. Everytime he tries to interpret statistics or dains to give “victory” speeches that he has not earned, I cannot blame the fundamentalists for hating non-Bush fans. All I hear when he takes the stage is: “woulda, shoulda, coulda, if only, wah, wah, wah, America, wah, wah, wah.” If that is the best the non-Bush fan’s can find, then we may have to resolve ourselves to a dictatorship regime now.

So quote Kerry if you must, but there are some non-Bush fans that do not echo his sentiments, or his rather non-sensical rhetoric. Enough of this post-traumatic nightmare where the only choice is between a fanatic and a boob. Is there no one of any party that can represent the average citizen that just wants to live and let live?
