Click here to get involved and counter-act the latest the spin machine has to offer.
I am appalled that ABC is dramatizing and enhancing the storylines and conversations. They are not portraying fictional characters, they are literally putting words into people that are still alive to use as references. Unlike the West Wing drama series that clearly impersonates various political figures, real names are not used and that helps with the separation between a dramatization and reality.
This rings too much like political propoganda similar to how China reinvents reality into a more acceptable format. I find it repulsive that free speech is being used to twist facts and point fingers. Although Michael Moore delivered personal commentary throughout a “documentary,” he did not misquote anyone AND the government DID get a chance to review and EDIT it’s acurracy. Now don’t get me wrong, I was appalled at Micheal Moore’s ranting while claiming to have produced a “documentary.” It would have been much more effective if he stated the facts without his constant opinions trying to spoon feed his personal conclusions to us.
“The Path to 9/11″ is nothing more than primetime spin machine propoganda. More “post traumatic torture” from the power hungry neocons. Perhaps “The Path to 9/11″ should highlight our civillian responisbilities. How we as civillians continue to sit by and be represented in a global society by those that are only concerned with personal wealth and power. Can you name the last president that truely represented the American idealism of the true majority?
How can we enforce “freedom” on sovereign nations when the “majority” of Americans don’t exercise their rights to free speech, freedom of religion and to vote? “The Path to 9/11″ points the finger at a few key people in the government instead of realizing that 9/11 is a product of every citizens’ ignorance and apathy.

Five years later… and still the memories take my breath away and I often wonder what I can do, what each of us can do, that will make a difference. One thing I vowed that day is that I would never forget. I would never forget how I felt that day. I would never forget how I changed that day. Although I believe there are social and political aspects of 9/11, I am also keenly aware of the many individual lives that were affected on a personal level that day.
2,996 is a tribute to the victims of 9/11.
On September 11, 2006, 2,996 volunteer bloggers
will join together for a tribute to the victims of 9/11.
Each person will pay tribute to a single victim.
We will honor them by remembering their lives,
and not by remembering their murderers.
I am honoring Abdu Malahi.
I have dedicated a permanent page of my site and navigation to this endeavor. You will find a complete list of the victims and links to the blogs honoring them here: http://kristonia-ink.com/Blog/2996
Thank you DC Roe for spending countless hours making this touching idea a reality. I am proud to be a part of this resoundingly unified voice.

The power of the internet, the power of the blog. Harness it and use it to make the world a better place. Use it to take a stand. Raise your voice, be heard, and make a lasting impression. Isn’t that what blogging is about?
There is a vastness that beckons to be filled with our thoughts, our ideas and our passion. The internet, the World Wide Web, the 24-hour online headline exists entirely to be touched, to be possessed by those that would take part and become involved with the present and a future beyond that of our own homes, towns, and lives. We take the first steps of creating a history rich with voices and information that will be referenced and analyzed by generations yet to come.
Available at the fingertips of those that seek information and varied viewpoints. We fill the emptiness they would access without our constant input. From fingertips to fingertips, eyes to eyes, ears to ears, from death to the living, we blog our lives, our dreams, our frustrations and grief. And so my fellow bloggers, I issue a call to arms:
On September 11, 2006, there will be 2,996 blog sites that will dedicate a post in honor of one of those that perished on September 11, 2001. Join me and 2,995 other bloggers in creating an enduring echo of our time. D.Challener Roe is organizing this endeavor to:
remember NOT who did it or why, but rather to remember those that became victims and WHO they are … not just a name. To remember them each and individually.
The very nature of blogging ensures that the future will never forget our history, that those that lived in our time, will live forever in this virtual time capsule of an online presence.
Please leave a comment with the name of the victim you will honor and a link to your site.
